I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and have been providing counseling & consultation services in the St. Louis region for over 15 years.
While I have experience providing individual, couple, and family therapy with children, teens and adults, I found my passion aligns most with providing individual counseling & consultation with adults, which is my exclusive focus at this time.
My style can be described as personable and warm, and I believe in a collaborative approach where we work together to create the desired changes in your life. I appreciate diversity and value your personal life experiences, which creates the foundation for our work together. No two people experience life the same way, therefore the pathway to change is unique and personal.
I am dedicated to lifelong learning and especially enjoy expanding my knowledge on attachment, mindfulness, and trauma recovery. One of the most substantial trainings I have completed was the three year training program to become a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (SEP), which I completed in 2020. I was drawn to Somatic Experiencing after realizing there were numerous physical and physiological reactions happening in trauma therapy that couldn’t be addressed with cognitive therapy alone.
This deeper knowledge of and ability to confidently work with the nervous system has further strengthened my ability to foster mind/body connections, as well as assist clients in renegotiating various stress and trauma responses.
